Bunker Workshop
Bunker Workshop is an interior architecture practice created by Chris Greenawalt in 2009. The name Bunker Workshop was chosen as a nod to the firm's location and intention. While the location has changed, the intention has not. Chris' aim is to work with clients in order to provide personal, thoughtful design. He believes the best outcomes are achieved through good conversation, client observation, and communication. He will introduce you to a number of talented, hard-working local craftsman that will help you realize your project on time and within budget.

Chris Greenawalt's architectural studies began at Lehigh University where he graduated as a President's Scholar with degrees in Architecture and Urban Studies. His interest in designing and building at a small scale began with an apprenticeship as a metal fabricator at Veyko Design in Philadelphia. After Veyko, Chris spent three years studying Architecture at the University of Melbourne's School of Design. He next landed in Seattle to work for Pb Elemental Architects as head of the interior design team. At Pb Elemental, Chris worked directly with developers, engineers, fabricators, and contractors to deliver modern, functional, and affordable interiors. In 2009, after a move to Boston, the time was right to start his own firm. After seven years of collaborating with many excellent contractors, clients, and fellow designers in Boston, Chris decided to move Bunker Workshop back home to Philadelphia in 2016.

Since it's founding, Bunker Workshop has won awards and has been featured in a number of publications and design blogs including Dwell, Remodelista, Boston Home Magazine, Details, Fine Homebuilding, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Boston Globe.
